PROFILE

I want to work at the garden because: I want to learn more about other plants and work with new people and friends.

Two of my personal goals for working at the Dallas Youth Garden this summer are:

1. learn some new amazing planting things.

2. getting to know new people

Two things I hope to learn from working at the Dallas Youth Garden are:

1. New and cools way to plant different things

2.what plants go good planted together

I think my biggest challenge will be: hot and sunny days

My favorite vegetable or fruit is: strawberries

I hope to contribute this to the garden this year: beautiful and healthy plants

May 2-7: Just started. Met in the garden and then garden planning using Zoom.

May 9-15: Helped Clean up Plant Sale. Garden planning zoom meetings.

May 16-22: getting used to things, learning more thongs

May 23-30 : getting used to things, getting into a good routine and tired know others

May 30-June 4: finished planting, lots of weeding

June 8-12: continuing watering, and laying down hay.

June 15-20: continued watering and using the water temperatures

June 22-27: finished laying down hay, and watering and weeding

June 28-July 4: watered,picked and weeded my garden

July 5-11: water and weeded more of my garden and I think started projects

July 12-18: did my projects and continued water, weeding and picking my garden and started our group “minions”

July 18-25: watered and weeded my garden then laid out bark and finished the bark

2. Resipe

Name: patty pan casserole

Ingredients: pattypan squash, cherry tomatoes, and mayonnaise

Steps to Make it: To make the casserole, toss chopped pattypan squash and cherry tomatoes with mayonnaise, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper, transfer to a greased dish, top with Parmesan cheese, and bake at 375°F for 30 to 35 minutes until tender and golden.
